Serve

There is so much more to Christianity than merely attending worship services.  The body of Christ is comprised of many members, each providing a necessary function.  Paul speaks of this in 1 Cor. 12:12-27 and also Eph. 4:11-16.

This section is being developed to inform you of the opportunities to serve here at Concord Street.  We encourage everyone to find a spot to serve and to serve God with passion.

  • Ministry opportunities

This section is not yet complete, but it will contain a list of all available ministry opportunities and the method in which you can join these efforts and help make a difference.

  • Lads to Leaders

Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is the oldest and largest leadership training program used by the churches of Christ today. It is a tool churches of Christ can use to help prepare their youth and adults for service in the Kingdom of God and help develop their overall leadership potential. Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is more than just attending a youth rally or participating in a Bible Bowl. We offer a variety of Bible-based class materials and events for preschoolers through adults.

  • Evangelism

At Concord Street we are serious about people going to heaven.  Our desire is that everyone hears and responds to the simple gospel plan of salvation from the Bible.  We have many members who have been trained in evangelism and our ministers and elders also stand ready to assist in teaching others.  A great way to serve Christ is to spread His message of hope to others.  Contact Dan Cawthon or the office for the next opportunity to be trained or serve in evangelism.

  • Helping others

Each month we assist others in various ways.  On the second Thursday of each month we prepare and serve food for the Coalition of the Homeless.  On the third Tuesday we take food to the local Ronald McDonald house.

Additionally, we provide food assistance on Sunday and Wednesday afternoons by appointment.

  • Ladies programs

We have a very active ladies ministry at Concord Street.  Click here for Women's Ministry page.
