Shepherds

Our elders do a wonderful job of shepherding the congregation at Concord Street.  To read more about these men please click see below.

  • Ron Benvegna

    Originally from Nashville, TN, Ron attended Lipscomb University and graduated with a degree in Business. During college he did mission work in Scotland and South Carolina. He met his wife, Rovenia, in chapel during his first quarter before graduation. They maried in 1975 and have two sons. James and Emilie have three daughters and live in Stuart, FL, where he serves as a deacon at the Stuart church of Christ. Matthew and Janelle live in that Atlanta area and have two daughters. They are active at the Peachtree Corners church of Christ.  


    Ron Previously served as a deacon at Concord Street from 1980-81 before being transferred to Maryland with Lockheed Martin Corp. He served as an elder at Central church of Christ in Altamonte Springs, FL, as well as at the Sanford church of Christ. He spent 38 years in the Aerospace Industry and is now retired. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard Captain's license and enjoys woodworking and fishing. He was installed as an elder at Concord Street on March 25, 2018.  

  • Ulysses Campbell

    Ulysses (UL) Campbell is a native Floridian residing in Orlando most of his life. He attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida with a major in mathematics education. He met his wife Rhonda while attending FSU.


    UL, as he is known, worked in the hospitality/food service industry for over 22 years, with the majority of his career in that industry, as an associte of the Ruby Tuesday Restaurants. Designated as a corporate trainer, he often traveled to different locations to train restaurant/kitchen staff to assure the uniform quality of the foods served to Ruby Tuesday diners. For the past 7 years he has been employed by Orange County I operations as a firefighter.


    UL and Rhonda have one daughter, three sons and three grandchildren.


    Ulysses began his service as a Shepherd in April, 2008.

  • Ted Thompson

    Ted Thompson is a Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Adventurer who loves to share Christ with whomever he meets. Ted was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Dayton, OH, and went to college in New Hampshire (Dartmouth). He worked most of his business career in NYC and has lived in Orlando since 1991. He has been married to his wife, Marion, for 39 years and shares one daughter, Jasimine Joiner, one son in-law, Harvey Joiner, and four grandchildren. Their household is an unpaid reality show. Ted was baptized at Westmorland Church of Christ, Orlando, on August 18, 1991. He and his family have been members of Concord since 1995.
