Hello! In todays blog, we will be talking about how you can use this year’s Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes theme “Meant for Good’ and provide some ways you can use it in the real world.
My first example I have for you is this: Let's say you are walking down the street, and you see a guy sit down and he doesn’t look to well, and he’s struggling. Here is what you can do! Either 1. Walk away and act like you saw nothing, 2. look at him weirdly and walk away, or 3. wave to him or smile say hello or even talk to him. I think option 3 would be the best option because a smile can change someone’s day. You never know what people are going through, and God was using you in that way for good. This is shown in 1 Timothy 4:4 ”For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received." This shows that no matter what they will hear or see your act of kindness even if they don’t want to.
Let’s look at another example. For this example, your friend will be called Lily. You and your friend Lily are singing the invitation song in church on Sunday morning, and Lily is holding a secret, but is afraid if she tells anyone or goes up to the front of the church she will be judged. Let’s look at the possible thing you can do in this situation. 1. ignore her and act like she is fine, 2. you beg her to tell you the secret and no one else, or 3. you tell her she needs to get this off her chest and if she doesn’t want anyone to know she needs to tell the elders in private. I think option 3 is the best option here because, the bible says to encourage one another like it says here in 1 Thessalonians 4:18 “Therefore encourage one another with these words." Also, even if Lily doesn’t go up to the elders you at least was meant for good by good to encourage her.
